Dr. Junk graduated as physicist (German Dipl.-Phys.) from the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (LMU) in 2005. She specialized in astrophysics, especially in the field of galaxy formation and dynamics of galaxy substructures. During her PhD studies, Dr. Junk worked on hydrodynamical instabilities, in particular the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, and on cosmological models for dark energy and their trace within the cosmic microwave background. In subsequent postdoctoral studies Dr. Junk worked on the different topics including the Euclid mission that focuses on the evolution of the universe.
Dr. Junk has been working in the field of IP since 2015. While working for different IP law firms, the main emphasis was placed on prosecuting patent applications, in particular in the field of telecommunication and information technology, as well as software and computer-implemented inventions. Dr. Junk joined MÜLLER • HOFFMANN & PARTNER in 2020 as a patent attorney candidate.
