Engineers would probably agree that the quality of a product or service is what differentiates products and services from each other. However, this is only part of the truth. In fact, with ever increasing complexity of products and services today, a first time consumer or customer often cannot distinguish products and services by quality. But surely, the design can be easily determined by one view.

This is probably the most important point of design: A unique design will make it possible for customers or consumers to differentiate your product from the products of your competitors.
