European Patent Attorney
Having studied electrical engineering and electronics, Dieter Reinhardt joined Siemens AG where he had been working as a development engineer for five years. Thereafter, he switched to the Patent Department of Siemens and worked as a patent engineer. After his qualification as European patent attorney in 1983, he spent three years in the Intellectual Property Department of Siemens Corp. in the USA.
After his return to Germany, he continued working for the Siemens Patent Department, where he took over responsibility for patent work and licensing in the fields of mobile communications and data processing. Later on, he became head of the Corporate Licensing Center and was responsible for patent licensing at Siemens AG.
Dieter Reinhardt has been working for MÜLLER • HOFFMANN & PARTNER since 2006.
Mr. Reinhardt is the well-known co-author of a book about evaluation of industrial property and is regularly publishing articles about patent portfolio management in various magazines. He is also giving speeches at seminars about licensing of intellectual property and patent portfolio management.
